Meet our Team

Rachel Barker joined Jane Austen College as Assistant Principal and Head of Sixth Form in 2017. As part of this role, Rachel predominantly focuses on raising achievement, student destinations and recruitment. Jane Austen College A-Level results are consistently top of the league tables for Norfolk state sixth forms. This gives our students the best possible opportunities, with many gaining places at the UK’s top universities. 

Before working at Jane Austen, Rachel was the Head of Social Sciences in Luton, with whole-school responsibility for Teaching and Learning. During this time, she conducted psychological research and made contributions to the field of cognitive psychology.
