Purpose:

We open students’ minds to a broad, deep knowledge and understanding of Britain and its history, including its wider place in the world and its reactions to geopolitical events from c.400 AD to the modern day.

We enable students to understand how historians have analysed and interpreted events from the past, using their contextual knowledge to evaluate their views and contemporary views of the time.
