New Netball Elective Scores Big with Jane Austen College and Sir Isaac Newton Students

In response to sixth formers requesting more sport electives, students from Jane Austen College and Sir Issac Newton enjoyed their very first extra-curricular netball session in June.

We were kindly offered free use of the Norwich School Danes Centre and head of netball, Gemma Ashton, volunteered to lead the session with the support of JAC pastoral mentor Claire Honess. 

10 girls were able to make this training session with 10 more signed up and planning to attend another before the end of term. We are hugely grateful Norwich School to be able to use their fabulous school sports facilities. A huge thank you to Mrs Ashton for volunteering her time and expertise, the players had a fantastic time. 

The future aim is to build one or two teams to play against local sixth forms as well as foster teamwork, build friendships and fitness.
